OME HOME TO HOPE. COME HOME TO OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE.
Program Change
On the day of Pentecost, people gathered from a wide variety of places. They are “all together in one place” (Acts 2:1). Thus, the importance of in-person worship from the very beginning of the church until the present day can not be overstated.
For many of us unable to attend Mass during the height of the pandemic, the live-streaming of our Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses provided a lifeline. Now, as the worst of the pandemic seems to be behind us, and as many other areas of life continue to move back towards normal, the time has come for us to re-evaluate our online worship experience.
In consultation with the Archdiocese of Detroit’s best practices, and in an effort to encourage a return to in-person worship, we will no longer be live-streaming our 4:30 p.m. Saturday Mass beginning this weekend.
For the benefit of our home-bound parishioners as well as our evangelical outreach to the world-wide web, we will continue to live-stream our Sunday Mass at 10:30 a.m. The rule of thumb is, if you are not sick, or have a major health concern, you should be attending Mass in person.
Please share this programming change with your homebound friends, relatives and neighbors!
