Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation Candidate:
Your parish family welcomes you to Confirmation
preparation!
We are excited to have you join us for your final
year of Confirmation preparation.
Confirmation
Journals should be completed by students that will be in 8th
grade (2010/2011) that have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First
Communion. If you are in need of either Sacrament Baptism or First
Communion please contact the Religious Education Department as soon as
possible.
Begin by
printing out the Confirmation Sacrament Form and returning it the
to the Religious Education Department no later than August 30, 2010.
Next please take time to print
out and look over your summer Confirmation Journal. The Confirmation
Journal may seem overwhelming at first but I assure you it was created
to be user-friendly.
You will have approximately two weeks to
complete each section.
Take time each week to sit down with your packet and
do the assignments. Be sure to take time to reflect on each page.
Writing out each word will help you take a closer look at the words you
recite as a Catholic and spend time meditating on what they mean to you
as a Confirmation candidate.
Please bring your completed
Confirmation Journal to the Confirmation Meeting on September 13, 2010
During our September meeting I
will go over the Confirmation details more thoroughly.
For now keep praying, going to church,
spending time with other people of faith and living out the word of God.
